Once the intake assessment is completed and we have agreed to work together, we will begin the “work” of therapy.  The way we approach our work together will depend on your treatment goals, your comfort level during the session, and the potential influence of recent events in your life.  I will typically ask you at the start of the session how you would like to spend our time together.  I realize that this choice can feel a little overwhelming or confusing at first, but once we have a few sessions behind us, you may find that having more control in session can be very helpful in moving towards your goals.
